I was referred to Dr. McRoberts from another Interventional Pain Management Doctor in south Florida because my chronic pain issue was out of his realm of expertise. In February of 2012, I had surgery on my heel resulting in nerve damage. Subsequent to that time and to no avail, I had been seen by countless doctors from as south as the Univ. of Miami and as far north as the Univ. of Michigan. I recognized that my case was challenging and complex. My first appointment with Dr. McRoberts was on April 15, 2014. I would later realize that this would be a life altering date in my quest for pain relief. When I first met with Dr. McRoberts, I quickly realized that he, unlike the other doctors that I had seen, was privy to all of the current pain management treatments and procedures. Also, Dr. McRoberts was patient, sympathetic to my problem and genuinely cared about finding a resolution to my chronic pain. And he was not going to give up! On those days when I felt bereft and hopeless, Dr. McRoberts was my biggest cheerleader and always had other options to try in relieving my severe pain. And I'm happy to say that the resolution for me was in the form of an Intrathecal Pain Pump! It allows me to dispense non-narcotic medication that finally provides me with the pain relief that I had been searching for! There are not enough adjectives and accolades that I can bestow upon this amazing man and doctor. He gave me my life back...I think that pretty much sums it up!
