Dr. Chitale was very helpful when I first hurt my back. Over time he had a pain management doctor, Dr. Woodley-Davis and she was excellent in helping my pain. My last appointment with her I was told she no longer worked there and I would see Dr. Chitale. But instead I saw the PA. They stopped all meds, saying I was not a surgery candidate and they could no longer help me. Just like that. After four years as a patient. I had a horrible time getting my records to a new doctor. It took six weeks and the help of my new doctor to finally get them to send the information. In the meantime I was suffering and no one cared. I think Dr Chitale is good, but now he just wants to do surgery and left his other patients, like myself, to fend for themselves without any help or care. Basically a see ya later. It was horrible and I hope no one has to go through what I did. I finally after six weeks had an appointment with my new doctor today. He spent an hour getting to know me, full body check up to really find my pain. If every doctor had such compassion for their patients the world would be a better place. Pain does not have to define your life. I would never recommend Dr Chitale or his PA to anyone after this experience

Do not use him! I was referred by Attorney which should've have been a big clue. He wanted to do a 3 level spinal disectomy & fusion at his office ambulatory as an outpatient procedure. I ended up firing my attorney, going to my trusted neurologist and asked him who he would use for a neurosurgeon and he referred me to Dr. Plas James and the difference was night and day. Had surgery at St. Joseph and stayed for a few days. When I came home, he even sent a visiting nurse to me for a week to clean and check wound sites. Chitale is running a racket that caters to personal injury attorneys.
