I want to start by saying that he is a kind man. Other than that, I have no confidence in him whatsoever. Not as a diagnostician, not as a doctor. I have been seeing him for over 5 years, and each appointment, depending upon his mood, was like entering the twilight zone. When I had lyme disease, I had a swollen lymph node, which was very painful, and asked him about it. This was when it was the size of a quarter. Not even looking at it, or asking to see it, he tells me it is a fatty tumor. Two months later, after several visits-I had to switch to another doctor in the practice in order to be diagnosed, however, by that time my lymph node was the size of a lemon. I was drenched in fevers and came in to the office with my husband in my bathrobe. As I was walking to the scale, he looked up and did not even acknowledge me. Just stared right through me. Finally, after an ulatrasound and a transvaginal biopsy, I TOLD THE DOCTOR to put me on doxycycline for 30 days as I knew it was lyme from doing my own research. Why did I not leave the practice then? Because I wanted to stay with Julie Burrows. My advice to the good doctor would be to 1. Stop spreading himself so thin; and 2. Go back to med school and learn how to relate, diagnose and know your patients.
