Positive Comments

I wish I had not waited so long to go see Dr. McMillan and allow him to operate on me.

Negative Comments

We don't have nearly enough caring doctors like Dr. McMillan who will take the time to talk to you about your care plan.

General Comments

Now it is time to get back to living again! Thanks to Dr. McMillan I feel like doing things again.

I wouldn't refer anyone to this doctor. He's rude and witholds the truth if not intentionally lies.

"He's interested in meeting new patients but not following up after he has done his procedure or surgery."

Appropriate Follow-up
"He won't follow up as it seems he wants to keep his stats up so he can publish he success rates. So if he doesn't find out what's happening with you he doesn't have to report it."
He is only interested in selling services and he a good salesman, but a bad doctor

Negative Comments

He is not a neurosurgeon and he is performing "minimally invasive back surgery". That does not make it safer than a regular back surgery, it's just as major as any of the others.

"As soon as I said I wasn't interested in surgery, he wasn't interested in helping me. He also belittled me about being on disability. Terrible experience. "

"They couldn't spell my medications."
Fair and Accurate Diagnosis
"Yes, however, he never discussed the surgery with me. I had my doubts about him at that point."
Spends Time with Patients
"No, not on either of my 2 pats. He was rude each of my visits"
Appropriate Follow-up
"No one called to schedule my surgery date. The scheduler was rude, hung up on me. Then Dr. McMillan hung up on me. I was dismissed from his practice. This was something I heard him do to pts while I sat in his office."
He is not ethical with pts. Or staff. Hanging up on a pt is not ethical and telling me that he fired his nurse is not ethical. His rating is very poor.

Positive Comments

none

Negative Comments

"no diagnosing needed as reports and MRI was sent from a "real" doctor"

"He is not interested in you after surgery. No follow up."
This doctor is the rudest, most unprofessional "doctor" I have ever encountered. He does not take responsibility for mistakes made by office staff nor his own mistakes that occur during surgery. He is great before surgery but is not interested in followup. He is not liscensed as a neurosurgeon but as an anesthesiologist and internist. ?? Should have checked beforehand. He is the only doctor I have ever encountered who will threaten to sue patients, insurance companies and/or banking institutions. I have met several other former patients who all state the same thing. This guy has a God complex and needs to be out of business.

Go to a creditable neurosurgeon, get a second opinion from a real neurosurgeon

"he didn't diagnose, it was given to him by another doctor."

" he doesn't care for f/u even though he is performing surgery on your spine or procedures near your spinal cord"
this doctor is convinced he is god and uses his egotism to convince patients that he knows what is best. he has a litigious nature and won't hesitate to sue for intimidation purposes. be very careful. It is better to work with a REAL neurosurgeon.

Positive Comments

its easy to get an appt, I wonder why?

Negative Comments

This surgery can be done by a real neurosurgeon. He'll tell you how much more effective this surgery is, but medical studies have proven this to have more complications or failed back surgery syndrome. In other words it doesn't help and it hurts like hell!

General Comments

Check his civil court records in SC before commiitting. Be aware you will receive 5 or 10 bills with different amounts on them, to confuse the heck out of you, so you just give up and pay
