I have been under Dr. Relle's care for over 2 years. He diagnosed we with prostate cancer. He said his biopsy confirmed 2 foci that he said were slow growing and do not require any form of treatment. I went for a second opinion with a Radiation Oncologist who recommend Radiation. Prior to scheduling the radiation treatment, I followed up with Dr. Relle, who told me, and I quote "Anyone who would do radiation on me... SHAME ON THEM". He said I 100% did not require any treatment. I listened to Dr. Relle and remained under his care for all of 2010 and 2011 and half of 2012, when my family insisted I see another Urologist and get a second opinion. I told Dr. Relle that I was going to get a second opinion. I returned to his office and told him the another biopsy was recommend. He told me that it was 100% not necessary. I actually was going to cancel the biopsy, though my family insisted that I have it. Thank g-d I did. I did not have 2 slow growing foci per Dr. Relle. I had 9 foci, with a Gleason score of 8. My cancer was not slow growing. It is AGGRESSIVE. I required immediate surgery prior to beginning radiation treatment. I had a transection of my Urethra, I am undergoing Hormone Therapy. I will begin Brachytherapy in a few weeks, followed by External Beam Radiation. Dr. Relle misdiagnosed me and now I am praying that I will survive. I am writing this August 21, 2012.
