He caused more pain in me than I was having before spinal fusion. My feet have not quit burning from the nerve damage he caused 15 years ago. Avoid using him at all cost......

Positive Comments

Dr Pool had to repair l-5 and remove the piece that broke off of it from my sciatic nerve which was crushed. I had this surgery in 2001. In June of 2015 I had three discs removed from my neck. The surgery went well and my pain has decreased thaks to this procedure.

Positive Comments

Dr. Pool helped me walk again. I waited too long to see anyone, but once I did, he was honest, genuine, helpful, caring and accommodating for my L4-L5-S1 herniations. He operated, using titanium and cadaver material, then suggested a physical therapist of highest caliber who, with Dr. Pool, made it possible for me to regain uprightness. I thank God that these folks have such a heart to help!

General Comments

If you have serious spine issues, Dr. Pool is unequivocally the best. In researching several neurosurgeons (the only folks you want for spine problems!), his name came up with positive results everywhere I went.

Dr Poole did spinal fusion surgery on me around 2002. I have been in severe pain since the fusion surgery. My wife went to appts with me and heard him say there was no reason for my pain even though he wouldn't even do an x-ray to try and identify my problem. After years of pain and going from one doctor to another trying to find the problem, doctor Brooks from another practice did a CT myelogram and found there was a non union which means the fusion never healed and one of the cages dr Poole implanted had been against my spinal cord for so long that my spinal cord had grown around the cage which is not suppose to touch your spinal cord when implanted correctly. You can actually see shadows around the heads of the screws he implanted. I was told there is nothing that can be done because of the danger of removing the cage because my spinal cord would need to be cut away from the cage. I was told if dr Poole would have done a simple x ray then he could have seen the problem with the cage and fixed it before my spinal cord grew around it.
