"Since I came 500 miles to see Dr Bevering I did not see Dr Bevering much. "
Appropriate Follow-up
"I was in rehabilitation unit for 2 weeks and did not see Dr Bevering but 2-3 times due to the use of Hospitalist physicians. A very unsatisfactory system to me."

Positive Comments

I traveled two days from south Texas to Tupelo, MS to see Dr Carl Bevering and Dr Walter Eckman. Saw both neurosurgeons and received interesting and different counseling from each doctor. I was in severe enough pain i was convinced I was not leaving Tupelo without an attempt to solve my problem. I made my decision, had the surgery and the pain was relieved. It still is gone nine months later.

Negative Comments

Think I was a "risk" for Dr Bevering to accept, but I was extremely relieved he did. I do wish the physical therapy I received had been a bit more rigorous. I did not see Dr Bevering in the rehabilitation unit due to medical care is done by a Hospitalist physician. That system is very NEGATIVE to me. Did not see him either. but once in two weeks.

General Comments

I had fallen several times prior to my back surgery in Oct. due to the pain in my right leg. Falls caused enough damage to my left knee that five months after back surgery I had a left total knee replacement. The back pain that started early in 2016, and the back surgery plus pain from the damaged left knee had me a nervous wreck, I called these feelings the" heebie jeebies". My internist back home finally prescribed an anti-depressant. With that medication I began to recover my spirits and self. Following my knee surgery I had some really good physical therapy which helped all of me. It has taken a year, but am almost walking right, have no pain other than muscular and am happy.
