Average National Length of Stay - Heart Failure

This is the U.S. national average length of stay (risk adjusted) in days that patients spent in the hospital for heart failure.

Heart failure is the inability of the heart to pump blood well enough to keep up with the body's demand. When the heart is unable to provide sufficient blood flow to other vital organs including the brain, liver, and kidneys, the functions of these organs are impaired as well.
